Bringing School Supplies to Area Children

Oct 11, 2017

Thirty-one A.I.M. Mutual employees turned out to help children get ready for the school year as part of the nationwide Cradles to Crayons program, now in its 15th year. Employees volunteered for factory visits to sort items as well as for the Backpack-a-Thon held in Boston this past summer.

The event yielded 40,000 backpacks filled with school supplies and other basic essentials, such as clothing, shoes and personal hygiene items. A.I.M. Mutual is a corporate sponsor of the program, and dozens of employees are continuing to help by donating items during the course of the school year.

“We are honored and grateful to partner with you to impact school-aged children,” said Susan Adler, Director of Corporate Relations, in a letter of appreciation.

Statistical/Policy Production Supervisor Nina LaFauci coordinated the effort on behalf of A.I.M. Mutual’s Wellness Committee. Mike Standing, A.I.M. Mutual’s President & CEO, invites other companies to get involved and recognizes our 2017 volunteers:
