Martha Gagnon, Employee Benefits & Wellness Specialist, Named to Worksite Wellness Council of Massachusetts Board of Directors
Feb 05, 2016The Worksite Wellness Council of Massachusetts (WWCMA) named A.I.M. Mutual Insurance Companies’ Martha Gagnon as Annual Conference Committee Chair during their January 2016 Board of Directors meeting.
Martha joined A.I.M. Mutual in 2013 as the Wellness Coordinator for the Injury Prevention and Worksite Wellness Department (IPWW). In her position as Wellness Coordinator, Martha was responsible for the facilitation of creating and implementing an evidence-based model that would assist small and mid-sized employers in building a culture of wellness with measurable results through the A.I.M.Works™ program.
In her current role, Martha serves as the Employee Benefits and Wellness Specialist, where she continues to advance the A.I.M.Works™program, along with assisting employers in obtaining additional benefit programs through the Associated Industries of Massachusetts.
Prior to joining A.I.M. Mutual, Martha was the Director of Worksite Health Initiatives for the American Cancer Society. There she led large New England employers in developing wellness programs based on specific health risk factors linked to chronic disease. She was also responsible for ongoing tracking and metrics to measure behavior change over an extended period.
Martha earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Lesley University and holds a Certified Wellness Program Director (CWPD) designation through the Chapman Institute.
