OSHA Lists Top 10 Safety Violations

Nov 16, 2018

Fall protection again tops the list of safety violations in the workplace, according to 2018 preliminary figures from OSHA published in Safety and Health Magazine

In order of frequency, the 10 most-cited workplace safety violations were: Fall Protection-General, Hazard Communication, Respirator Protection, Lockout/Tagout, Ladders, Powered Industrial Trucks, Fall Protection-Training, Machine Guarding, and Eye/Face Protection.

This is the first time violations in the area of eye and face protection made the list. Most noteworthy, the top five violations remain unchanged since 2013, reminding employers of where safety focus needs to be.  View the National Safety Council article.
