PCI Continues to Make Community Projects Possible

Feb 28, 2025

The Property and Casualty Initiative continues to make inroads in its mission to expand affordable housing and economic development throughout Massachusetts. A.I.M. Mutual is a founding member.

Under the direction of President Michelle Volpe, dozens of projects are underway with PCI partnership support. Recently Lawrence CommunityWorks publicly thanked PCI as well as other investment partners and philanthropic contributors for making a major community and economic development project possible.

“We’re in construction!” announced Marianne Paley Nadel of Lawrence CommunityWorks via social media in February. “I’m so excited to share that next spring Lawrence CommunityWorks will bring LaFuteria, a full-service local Latino Supermarket, Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, and our amazing youth program Movement City to the mill district!”

Over 25 years, PCI together with The Life Initiative (TLI) have helped secure $1 billion in lending, resulting in 27,000 affordable housing units created, according to Michelle Volpe.

Michelle joined A.I.M. Mutual’s VP & CFO Paul Kehoe to discuss the PCI mission in a podcast shortly after Michelle stepped into the PCI leadership role. To listen to the podcast and learn more about how A.I.M. Mutual helps, click here.
