Celebrating our 30th year, A.I.M. Mutual strives to keep excellence in service at the forefront. We work with brokers and employers who share a genuine commitment to developing and managing all aspects of their workers’ compensation programs. Our approach is unique among carriers.
From its beginnings in 1988, A.I.M. Mutual has adhered to its founding principles to provide workers’ compensation and employers’ liability insurance coverage at a level that sets us apart. What seems like a straightforward concept today was, in fact, once a visionary approach to a critical business need. Our company is sponsored by the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, the largest employer organization in the Commonwealth.
A.I.M. Mutual introduced workers’ compensation as a partnership, and, in short order, employers welcomed the change and saw the immediate benefits. The company has grown to one of the largest regional workers’ compensation specialists, maintaining a major share of the Massachusetts market. We are one of the top writers in New Hampshire, and we also provide coverage to employers in Connecticut, Vermont and Maine.
At A.I.M. Mutual, we recognize that no company or concept, regardless of how well conceived, can succeed without the right people in place. We credit our staff, all highly experienced in their disciplines, for putting their service-oriented work ethic and workers’ compensation insurance knowledge into practice, every day, in all they do.
A history of stability, innovation, and commitment.
At A.I.M. Mutual Insurance Companies, we are committed to setting the standard in service excellence. We are guided by our founding principles to stabilize workers' compensation costs and make them predictable for Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut and Maine employers.

A.I.M. Mutual welcomes the opportunity to actively participate in the community it serves. Our employees share that view, bringing enthusiasm and support to a number of local, regional and national organizations in need.
Since 2016 A.I.M. Mutual has partnered with Cradles to Crayons in the Boston area, whose mission is bringing school supplies to area children. An employee delegation volunteers each year to fill hundreds of backpacks prior to the start of the school year. Learn more and join us: https://www.cradlestocrayons.org/boston/
Kids’ Chance of America is dedicated to raising scholarship funds for families affected by workplace injury. Two members of A.I.M. Mutual’s senior staff, Dan Landers and Laurie Parsons, serve on the New Hampshire and Massachusetts boards respectively. A.I.M. Mutual supports and promotes Kids’ Chance regional efforts and encourages corporate involvement at www.kidschance.org. Families can register with Kids’ Chance at the time of the accident, regardless of their children’s ages, and will be contacted when college time approaches.
Through its worksite wellness program, both employees and the company lend financial support to charities “nominated” by employees. Green for Jean$ invites employees to wear jeans as part of an ongoing philanthropy effort. Causes include the local food pantry, Pulmonary Fibrosis, the Alzheimer’s Association and Breast Cancer Awareness.
As a workers’ compensation insurer, A.I.M. Mutual also assists a number of the non-profits we insure with fundraising efforts. The Plus Company, New Hampshire Catholic Charities (with broker partner USI), and The Children’s Trust are among the organizations we’ve been proud to support. Policyholders may contact their broker to learn more.
